“I feel that teachers make a difference everyday by making students feel like they matter and they are enough,” commented First-Place Winner, Ashley Chauvin. “All too many times students come to school feeling as though they don’t meet the expectations of society. In my classroom, every kid is a champion, a rock star, a leader, ENOUGH! This contest has been amazing. It has brought teachers accomplishments into the spotlight. It also created great friendships between me and other contestants. We are now connected through social media and have been sharing tips and tricks. What started as a competition ended as a friendship and further professional development.”
