The Empire State Building 12th Annual Photo Contest: Capture the Iconic Majesty

The Empire State Building (ESB) is thrilled to announce the launch of its 12th annual Empire State Building Photo Contest, inviting photographers of all skill levels to showcase their talent. This is your chance to immortalize the “World’s Most Famous Building” and vie for the coveted $5,000 grand prize.

“The annual photo contest is a cherished tradition at the Empire State Building, and we eagerly anticipate the submissions from our exceptionally talented community as they capture the unparalleled essence of the world’s most photographed edifice from our reimagined Observatories and beyond,” remarked Jean-Yves Ghazi, President of the Empire State Building Observatory.

This year, the contest boasts 11 captivating entry categories, including an exciting new addition:

ESB x City Wide: Frame the ESB within the captivating New York City panorama.
Beginner Entry: Open to budding photographers, share your fresh perspective.
Observatory Views: Present ESB’s iconic vistas from its Observatories.
Sunset & Sunrise: Capture the building during the enchanting golden hours.
Smartphone Shot: Showcase your ESB shots taken with smartphones.
Photoshop/Edit: Unleash creativity with imaginative edits and settings.
Weather Shot: Depict the building amidst rain, snow, sleet, or rainbow.
Nightscapes: Illuminate the building as night descends.
Video: Bring ESB to life in 30-second video clips.
Youth: A fresh category for 13-17-year-old fans with photos and videos.
General Entry: For shots that don’t fit other categories.

All entries must be submitted by September 22. Subsequently, the public will have the honor of selecting category winners from November 6 to 17. For the runners-up and grand prize victor, the voting period will be November 27 to December 8. The runner-up shall secure a prize of $1,500, while each category winner will be awarded $500.
